The foremost question on the minds of most up and coming bloggers is "Why should I submit my blog to directories?" Some bloggers will actually submit their blogs to dozens of directories or even more, while others feel that this wouldn't be of much use. What I have learned through extensive research and experience however, is that I get consistently good results when I submit my blog to a few different blog directories a short time after launching them. What I quickly learned when I submit my blog to blog directories was that I was able to garner backlinks in a fairly short time. The result was that my websites became more "attractive" to search engines, which indexed them more readily and in turn caused them to achieve a higher ranking in search engine results pages. The interesting thing is how much importance search engines place on these links.
