When a dog breed is healthy and perfect then breeding is usually done from the same ancestors. For enhancing the features of a specific breed, different combination of dog breeds are bred. As a result of the selective dog breeding, there is a wide variety of dog breeds. The characteristics, nature and functions of a specific breed can be totally different as compare to the other dog breeds. Different types of dog breeds can be generally categorized as registered dog breeds, rare dog breeds and new dog breeds which are under development.
